Enjet-Enjet Semut!!!

Salam to all. Just wanna share this video to ponder together. Should we (Malays) be proud of this video? Of the facts entitled in this video? Maybe the answer is yes for certain parts but there are a few no-i-don't-agree-with-it parts here. I don't like the part telling how sexy the Malay minahs (because there are still a lot who are very good in covering aurah). I don't agree with the statement that we are slow and steady but finally we are still the winners (basically Malays are always like that but by singing in that way, I think that the singer or the lyric writer proud to be in this kind of outlook. My grandma doesn't and neither do I). I don't agree with the scene of hanging out at stalls, lepaking there, playing guitar and singing. So not agree.

Hmm... At this moment, my closest Russian friend (description in Russian: maya lubimaya ruskaya padruga), Olga Vasilevskaya aka Olya is in Malaysia. She is there to take part in the International Malay Public Speaking, Deputy Prime Minister Cup regarding Malaysian's 50th Anniversary. She has been to Malaysia for 2 times before this. And last summer, we spent time together in Tioman Island. When we were there, we did discussing about Malays and their bad behaviors (I'm totally open to share things with her because she knows a lot about Malays. She studies Malays and theirs civilizations in Institute Of Asian Languages, Moscow State University). Sincerely she told me that she likes Malays as they (we) behave like the one that is lined by Islam blended with our adat and susila, theoretically, but after knowing the true colors of the youngsters, she believes that one day, Malays would have no value anymore if the youngsters themselves don't proud to be and to preserve the values of becoming or be born as Malay Muslims.

A deep sigh here. I youtubed again to find some videos showing about 'Malays show good performances in studies and working field' but I ended up found lots of videos showing the dirtiness of the nowadays young people.

Hang Tuah once said: Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia (Malay won't ever be disappeared from the world). Will this quote remain precious forever? Ask our mind, ask our iman...

I hand up. I'll let u do the comment part whether u agree or disagree with me.

Wallahu a'lam

1- maya lyubimaya padrguga is not translated to my closest.....tapi my beloved ;P

I am so glad that we have pioneers like you and some other friends that I met through blogging. I used to worry so much the youngsters in Malaysia sangat cepat terpengaruh dengan budaya yang kurang sihat. Risau sungguh dengan masa depan anak-anak saya, siapa kawan mereka nanti etc...?

Alhamdulillah, masih ada yang saya anggap menitikberatkan ciri-ciri ketimuran.

Salam wbt

1st of all, would like to let u all know abt my latest condition. alhamdulillah, i feel better at the moment. even, i managed to sit at my desk for hours to study today (past few days only sleeeeeeeeeepppppppping was the only thing i could be good at).

2nd thing is, i'd like to congratulate Olya once again. Well done Olya.

3rd thing is, last night i've a short chat with Fadly Khairie, a 3rd year junior in Volgograd State Medical University, Russia aka my used-to-fight mate in debating world long time ago during high school. Out of conscious, our chatting became quite serious when we were planning of having a malay and english debate and public speaking competitions here in russia. Since so many ex-debaters, ex-speakers and ex-pemantuns are now in russia. i came out with an idea to suggest nizhny to organize an educational sport day, instead of/or twinning with the malaysian sport carnival that we use to have every year. hehe. [SARAH KOYA]. but then he suggested, why not we make it online. it is possible too. well, we need hands in making this real, friends.

4th thing is, i wanna give some feedbacks to those commentators:

to melayumasadepan,
1- actually, i realized lyubimaya is not closest but i just suka-hatily translated it that way. and as far as am concerned, lyubimaya is not beloved either. lyubimaya is favourite. hiiii. whatever it is, i think we both managed to let the readers understood the meaning pretty well (i hope so).

3- Insya allah akan jaga dgn sebaiknya dan alhamdulillah dan semakin sihat ni. since spring is around, i dont wanna be bed-ridden for so long. i wanna enjoy going to class and ke mana2 saja!

to mama sarah,
as i replied in ur blog, i'll always wish for the best, for ur children, for my lil bros, for those new generations and insya allah for my children in the future (insya allah).

to abg wan,
thanks for ur appreciation for women in ur life (as in ur blog). nice entry too, anyway. i learned a lot about the characteristics of them who appeared and already disappeared in ur life. i hope that am always in the group who will always be with u, insya allah.

alhamdulillah i'm getting better. wish that we could spend more time. chatting or maybe talking thru the phones next time. yeah. there will always be a next time, insya allah.

to my kak long,
as usual, u'll always like those cute and funny videos. but as i've travelled a lot, u are 1 of malay minahs that is still preserved with adat2 ketimuran yg tinggi. am proud to be ur ngah, to have a sister that's so polite and enriched with the mahmudahs.

regards,
always sarah

Assalamualaikum..

First of all, congrats to your friend Olga for defeating SAINA's ex-debater, Daud. Hehe. My friend informed me regarding the news, and I clicked on the link she gave at that very instant. Knowing that some international students out there really do master our mother tongue perfectly is indeed a blessing.

I heard that you are planning to make debate tournaments?X nak ajak kami budak ukraine jiran korang ke? Hehe. I'm an Ex-SMAPK english debater fyi :P.

Btw, the Fadli that you mentioned, is he the one as of SEMESTI's ex-debater? Just curious.

salam sarah,

thanks for visiting my world. dear readers, sarah is 1 of my debate-mates back in school eventho we're majoring in diff languages.

actly i found ur blog 3 days back. n i talked to hafizy about this (he's my groupmate here). what a small world. yes, fadly is ex-semesti. the 3rd debater.

the idea about organizing the tournament hasn't come to the final point yet. still under consideration. but it's not impossible, right. if it's an online-tournament, sure u all are most welcome to join =)

p/s:hmm..still remember that we were in the same dorm during HKSBP in sains dungun?

do keep in touch k

Tahniah tahniah tahniah! im really happy to know that. may u n azrin will last forever. by the time i reach malaysia, u will be a newly wed couple. but as i told u before, u may claim ur wedding present from moscow! insya allah i'll go to ur place. not so far maa..hehe (eventho the name sounds like ur place is abroad!)

p/s: wondering when will my turn come? huhu. congratz again mimie.
