Time Management

Assalamualaikum wbt

Talking about self management is actually reflecting our time management. As for myself, practically I'm quite (QUITE not TOTALLY) good at it. I always have schedules of things to do in certain duration (eg in 1 week time). And will have a list of things to be done on the note pad for daily achievement.

Sometimes as students, we just cannot deny a tiring day will destroy whatever kind of plans that we have set up. It happens to me as well. Not to regret of that wasting time that we mistakenly had done, I bare in mind that my plan is not as good as what Allah had planned for me. Falling asleep pathetically at study desk isn't a thing to be blamed IF we really have gone through a hectic day. The other side of it, Allah just wanted to let us have some rest, get up fresh and settle what is left.

What counts for me is whenever I set up mind to have a certain duration of sleep and then being disturbed by any fellows, that will certainly make me moody and a bit angry. Let's say that I have decided to sleep at 12.45am and set the clock at 3.45am for Subuh prayer and to continue study. But every hour after then I'll wake up for any kinds of distractions that come around. And to more extend, I finally have to be fully awake at 2.45am. Isn't this sound so miserable to have only 2 hours sleep while the day before you slept about 3 hours long (only) and the next day you're gonna have a long tiring-tension-long-journey-away-from-hostel class?

That is why. The most important thing that I learned is to be ignorant to what is happening around me especially when I'm sleeping. Sleeping is the only time when my brain can rest, my limbs are free from stress and my mind is recharging the power to fight in the next day battle of endless.

Note: Will I manage to be a good manageable doctor?

takpe dr sarah, kalau terbangun lebih awal drp fajr see on the bright side of it, Allah nak kejutkan for tahajjud ;-). don't be too stressful, it's important to adapt with the others. it's a practice of motherhood, kalau ada anak kecik, tak de lah blh tidur nyenyak for even 3 hours non-disturbed.
perhaps you should adjust your schedule as to expect apa yg akan berlaku... hehehe.. instead of set to have 3 hours of sleep, setlah of having 4 hours of sleep, jadi kalau terkurang 1 hour pun still meet the min requirement.
good management is also (i think) to be able to adapt to unexpected. kita tak hidup sorg2 kat dunia ni, and we are not 100% in control in our lives, but we try our best to meet the best, and when it didn't happen kita redha, dan berlapang dada. alright... ceria dgn penuh kesyukuran.

i went to ur room a few nights back. u already in ur dreamland! it was quite early meh that time. anyway, everybody has their own style. some prefer to sleep early and wake up fresh early too. but some prefer to stay up and sleep less. well. it depends on u. dont change ur style if u find it works for u. change it when u find it doesnt give u any benefit to achieve ur goals. think!
